John William Godward Work Sells for $279,400 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

John William Godward, Cleonice (1913), sold for $279,400, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on February 5.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $190,300, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 2003 for $89,100 at Bonhams.
