John Singer Sargent, Landscape with trees, possibly Wendover, Buckinghamshire (1901), sold for $50,900 (GBP38,100), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $2,215, realizing a 4% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2016 for $53,100 at Christie's.
