Joan Mitchell Work Sells for $571,500 to Deliver a 11% Annualized Return

Joan Mitchell, Untitled (Triptych) (1976) sold for $571,500, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $539,100, equivalent to an annualized return of 11%. It last sold at auction in 1999 for $32,400 at Tajan.
