Joan Miro Work Returns to Auction

Joan Miro, Projet pour la céramique murale de l’Unesco 'Le Mur du soleil', is due to be sold at Sotheby's in New York on May 20, 2026 with a $700,000 to $1m estimate.

It last sold at auction in 2023 for $1.51m at Sotheby's. The current low estimate is 41% lower than its previous low estimate of $1.2m.

Gouache, brush and ink and pencil on paper laid down on paper, laid down on board, 23.2 x 150.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
