Joan Miro Work Sells for $1.12m to Deliver a 1% Annualized Return

Joan Miro, Personnages devant la lune (1938), sold for $1.12m (GBP838,200), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 5.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $419,900, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 1997 for $700,000 at Christie's.
