Jeff Koons, Baroque Egg with Bow (Blue/Turquoise) (1994), sold for $2.28m (GBP1.73m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 14.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $1.79m, realizing a 43% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $4.08m at Christie's.
