Jean Tinguely, Peak Production (1963) sold for $42,700 (EUR37,800), less than the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on May 28.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $26,700, realizing a 38% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2008 for $69,400 at Christie's.

Painted steel bars, wrought iron, hand mill, and electric motor painted steel bars, forged iron, hand mill, and electric motor, 55.0 x 56.0 x 56.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
