Jean Pierre Cassigneul, Femme au chapeau (1969) sold for $56,400 (EUR50,400), more than the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on April 10.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $24,100, realizing a 29% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2010 for $80,500 at Christie's.
