Jean Helion, Bande verte (1936) sold for $1.07m, more than twice the low estimate at Christie's in New York on November 19.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $892,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1991 for $178,600 at Loudmer.

Oil On Canvas, 129.4 x 97.5cm. The work has been traded 5 times in the past.
