Janaina Tschape, Sky for Mina (2016) sold for $120,000, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 21. The casein and pastel on canvas work has been traded once in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $38,800, a 47% rise.
