Jack White's first major UK art exhibition, titled THESE THOUGHTS MAY DISAPPEAR, is scheduled to open at Damien Hirst's Newport Street Gallery in London. The exhibition will run from May 29 to September 13.
It will also be the first time the Nashville-based musician has shown his visual art.
The exhibition will showcase White's visual practice through a range of mediums, including sculpture, furniture design, and installations. It will also feature works by Gordon Newton and Robert Sestok. White's approach draws upon themes of assemblage and reappropriation, reflecting influences from movements such as Dada and De Stijl, extending his creative output beyond music and songwriting.
Known primarily for his work with Third Man Records, White's visual art also encompasses photography, digital graphics and vinyl production.
Before he became famous with The White Stripes. established Third Man Upholstery in Detroit, a furniture-upholstery business, It was a real small business in Detroit where he repaired and re-covered furniture.
