Jack Pierson is slated to open his eleventh solo exhibition, Curtains, at Regen Projects in Los Angeles. The exhibition at the gallery's Santa Monica Boulevard location opens March 12 and the artist is due to be there.
The exhibition will feature Pierson's characteristic word sculptures and works on paper. These new pieces continue his engagement with themes such as memory, longing, romance, and an evocation of old Hollywood, often drawing inspiration from vintage signage.
Elliott Templeton Fine Arts— Pierson’s self-run New York gallery space—makes its Los Angeles debut alongside the artist’s solo exhibition with a special presentation of works by Joseph Geagan, David Johansen, Frisco Pete, Andrew Weir, Alessandro Raho and Gus Van Sant.
The exhibition at Regen Projects coincides with Jack Pierson: The Miami Years at The Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach, which runs through August 9.
