Ilya Bolotowsky, Perugia (1951) sold for $144,000, more than four and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 21. The oil on canvas, in an artist's frame work has been traded twice in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $36,000, a 33% rise.
