Hubert Robert Work Sells for $88,900 to Deliver a 3% Annualized Return

Hubert Robert, Two Washerwomen by a Cascade (Les Lavandières), sold for $88,900, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on February 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $60,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 3%. It last sold at auction in 1990 for $28,500 at Sotheby's.
