Hirshhorn Museum Announces Carlotta Corpron Survey and Sculpture Garden Reopening

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden has announced its forthcoming exhibition schedule, featuring a comprehensive survey of photographer Carlotta Corpron and the reopening of its revitalized Sculpture Garden. The Corpron exhibition, titled "Carlotta Corpron: Light Is a Plastic Medium," will be on view from October 16, 2026, to March 14, 2027.

Corpron's survey will highlight her pioneering work in abstract photography, exploring her use of light as a key medium. Her practice is recognized for its contribution to modern photography and abstract art.

The Hirshhorn Sculpture Garden is slated to reopen on October 31, following a period of revitalization. This space is home to significant sculptural works, including pieces by artists such as Hiroshi Sugimoto and KAWS. The museum also noted recent art acquisitions as part of its continuous collection development.
