Hernan Bas, The Conductor (2006) sold for $57,100, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $17,400, realizing a 23% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2010 for $74,500 at Sotheby's.
