Hauser & Wirth to Open Palo Alto Gallery with Calder | O’Keeffe Exhibition

Hauser & Wirth has announced the forthcoming opening of its Palo Alto gallery, located at 201–225 Hamilton Avenue. The new space is scheduled to commence operations on October 3, 2026.

The inaugural exhibition will be 'Calder | O’Keeffe,' a presentation exploring the friendship and artistic affinities between American modernists Alexander Calder and Georgia O’Keeffe. The exhibition is set to delve into their shared contributions to abstraction and modern art through a diverse array of mediums.

The presentation will feature paintings, sculptures, jewelry, gouaches, and mobiles by both artists, complemented by archival materials. Organized in collaboration with institutions including the Calder Foundation and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the exhibition will draw from a range of institutional and private collections, with noted contributions from the Whitney Museum of American Art, Pikes Peak Library District, and the Norton Museum of Art.
