Graham Sutherland, Vine Pergola (1947) sold for $226,500 (GBP165,100), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 26.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $104,000, realizing a 31% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2014 for $330,400 at Christie's.
