Giuseppe Signorini, The Method of Transporting Prisoners in Africa (Undated) sold for $65,200 (GBP48,600), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Bonhams in London on March 25.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $10,800, a 19% rise.
