Gertrude Abercrombie, Silo at Aledo (1953) sold for $864,100, more than eight and a half times the low estimate at Bonhams in New York on November 20. The oil on canvas work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $394,200, a 83% rise.
