Gerhard Richter Work Sells for $1.51m But Delivers a 1% Negative Return

Gerhard Richter, Abstraktes Bild (1992) sold for $1.51m, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $16,300, realizing a 1% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2021 for $1.53m at Sotheby's.
