Georges Braque Work Returns to Auction

Georges Braque, Le Tapis rouge, is due to be sold at Sotheby's in Paris on April 16, 2026 with a $289,200 (EUR250,000) to $404,800 estimate.

It last sold at auction in 2009 for $338,300 at Christie's. The current low estimate is 16% higher than its previous low estimate of $247,300.

Oil on canvas, 46.5 x 55.3cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
