George Lambert Work Sells for $35,300 But Delivers a 91% Negative Return

George Lambert, A South-east view of Leybourne Grange, Kent (1737) sold for $35,300, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 21.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $383,900, realizing a 91% negative return. It last sold at auction in 1989 for $419,200 at Christie's.
