Georg Baselitz Work Sells for $2.34m But Delivers a 5% Negative Return

Georg Baselitz, Fingermalerei - Akt (1972) sold for $2.34m, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 15.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $132,400, realizing a 5% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2014 for $2.47m at Christie's.
