Georg Baselitz Work Sells for $619,300 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Georg Baselitz, Borcke (1986), sold for $619,300 (EUR533,400), more than the low estimate at Kunsthaus Lempertz in Cologne on June 5.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $508,000, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1995 for $111,300 at Christie's.
