Ganesh Pyne Work Sells for $1.15m to Deliver a 15% Annualized Return

Ganesh Pyne, The Slave (1986), sold for $1.15m, more than four and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on September 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $1.14m, equivalent to an annualized return of 15%. It last sold at auction in 1997 for $15,500 at Christie's.

Tempera on canvas, 55.9 x 51.7cm. The work has been traded once in the past.
