Gallerie d’Italia - Milan, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo and the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation, will host 'ARNALDO POMODORO. A LIFE' from May 29 to October 18, 2026. This major exhibition will offer an anthological selection of the Italian contemporary artist's sculptures, accompanied by an extensive archive section.
The exhibition will trace Pomodoro's artistic journey, exploring his sculptural language characterized by concepts of movement, imbalance, communication, and the interplay between technology and the mineral world. Key works in bronze and fiberglass will illustrate his poetics, examining themes of space, surface, imprints, and traces, alongside memories and generative force.
The curatorial approach will delve into the evolution of Pomodoro’s style and poetics, contextualizing his contributions within the broader Italian art historical narrative. The exhibition will also incorporate historical archive materials and documentary elements to provide insight into his prolific career and artistic heritage.
