Gagosian to Showcase Damien Hirst's Iconic Series at Frieze Seoul

Gagosian will bring a solo presentation of Damien Hirst’s work to Frieze Seoul in September. Featuring paintings and sculptures from several of the artist’s most famous series, the booth will include his Pill Cabinets, Spin Paintings, Spot Paintings, and pieces from Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable.

This presentation follows Hirst’s first museum retrospective in Asia at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul. The exhibition spanned four decades of his career and drew more than 500,000 visitors.

Hirst said: “It is interesting how Korea, with its distinct culture, has embraced my work. In the 1990s, people in the UK would recognize me and say, ‘Your work changed my life,’ and I’m hearing the same in Korea today."

Frieze Seoul 2026 opens to VIPs on September 2 and runs through September 5 at COEX.
