Fundació Joan Miro Presents a Major Charlotte Perriand Show

The Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona is set to present "Charlotte Perriand: Free to Rethink the World," a major exhibition focusing on the seminal designer and architect. The exhibition will run from 9 October 2026 to 28 February 2027 at the institution's Parc de Montjuïc location.

This presentation will delve into Perriand's extensive oeuvre, encompassing her work in design, architecture, photography, and interior design. It will contextualize her contributions within the modern movement and the synthesis of the arts, exploring topics such as housing and furniture design.

The exhibition will feature works by Perriand alongside pieces by collaborators and contemporaries including Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Joan Miró, and Josep Lluís Sert, reflecting her diverse engagements. Institutions such as Kunstmuseen in Krefeld, Museum der Moderne in Salzburg, Fundación BBVA, Louis Vuitton, Cassina, Le Corbusier’s studio, and GATCPAC are also acknowledged in relation to the exhibition's scope or Perriand's legacy.
