Francois Boucher, Young boy leaning against a barrel and holding a basket (1765) sold for $34,900 (GBP25,400), less than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on July 2.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $32,500, equivalent to an annualized return of 10%. It last sold at auction in 1998 for $2,344 at Sotheby's.
