Damien Hirst’s landmark show, "The Light That Shines", is all part of the essential folly of Château La Coste, the French winery’s owner Paddy McKillen tells The Financial Times. “There’s no one else, I don’t think, on the planet who can do [a show like] this across the pavilions,” the hotelier says.

Gerhard Richter and Sean Scully’s abstract paintings will be in dialogue in Hong Kong. The double-bill is presented by Ben Brown in Hong Kong space and in the Asia Society in time for Art Basel Hong Kong.

Tokyo-based Izumi Kato’s solo show launches Perrotin’s new space in Los Angeles. The French gallerist’s latest space, which is in the former Del Mar Theater on Pico Boulevard, opens in time for Frieze LA.

Etel Adnan is among the female artists from Lebanon featured in Sotheby’s auction “A Love Letter to Beirut”. Ahead of the sale in April, works have gone on show in Dubai.

The Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid will present a comprehensive exhibition of the Spanish abstract artist’s work. The show is curated by the Madrid museum’s former director, Manuel Borja-Villel.
