Fernand Leger, Tête de femme (Figure II) (1947), sold for $640,000, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 20.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $308,500, realizing a 32% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2017 for $948,500 at Christie's.
