Fernand Leger Work Sells for $6.48m to Deliver a 8% Annualized Return

Fernand Leger, Les Hommes dans la ville (1919), sold for $6.48m (GBP4.83m), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 4.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $6.3m, equivalent to an annualized return of 8%. It last sold at auction in 1981 for $180,000 at Sotheby's.
