Eugene Boudin, Rivière aux environs de Dunkerque (1889), sold for $110,900 (GBP83,200), more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 5.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $9,408, realizing a 7% negative return. It last sold at auction in 1998 for $120,300 at Christie's.
