Eugene Boudin Work Sells for $678,700 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Eugene Boudin, Beach Scene at Deauville (1863), sold for $678,700 (GBP508,000), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $665,300, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1955 for $13,400 at Christie's.
