Erro Work Sells for $181,400 to Deliver a 7% Annualized Return

Erro, Birdscape (1979) sold for $181,400 (EUR163,800), more than the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on April 9.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $157,600, equivalent to an annualized return of 7%. It last sold at auction in 1997 for $23,800 at Bukowskis.

Lacquer on canvas, 201.0 x 300.5cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
