Emilio Baz Viaud, Retrato de Nazario Chimez Barket (1952) sold for $204,000, more than 20 times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 19. The tempera and dry brush on board work has been traded 3 times in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $101,000, a 98% rise.
