Emile Aubry, Panel 'The Voice of Pan' (1936) sold for $679,800 (EUR584,200), more than 57 times the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on May 26. The Gilt stucco and poplar work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $636,700, a 1400% rise.
