Edward Kienholz and Nancy Reddin Kienholz, Woman Washing with Scrutator with Parrot Affixed Also (1983) sold for $57,100, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 26. The mixed media assemblage work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $3,810, a 7% rise.
