Edvard Munch Work Returns to Auction

Edvard Munch, Two Women on the Shore (Frauen am Meeresufer), is due to be sold at Bonhams in London on October 27, 2026 with a $661,900 (GBP500,000) to $926,700 estimate.

It last sold at auction in 2013 for $995,800 at Sotheby's. The current low estimate is 4% higher than its previous low estimate of $635,800.

Woodcut printed in green, light and dark blue, yellow, red, sandy pink and black, on japan paper, backed onto another sheet, with margins, 45.5 x 51.0cm. The work has not been traded before.
