Damien Hirst, 2,3-Dibenzoyl-D-Tartaric Acid (2022), sold for $228,600, more than twice the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 21.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $12,700, equivalent to an annualized return of 12%. It last sold at auction in 2025 for $215,900 at Christie's.
