Constantine Parthenis, Poetry (Annunciation) (Undated) sold for $1.46m (EUR1.26m), more than four times the low estimate at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris on May 20. The Oil on canvas work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $76,600, a 6% rise.
