Brancusi's Auction Record Jumps 51% With $107.6m Sale

Constantin Brancusi, Danaïde (1913) sold for $107.6m at Christie's in New York on May 18, exceeding the auction house's estimate of $100m. The bronze with gold leaf and black patina work has been traded once in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $36.59m, a 51% rise.
