Camille Pissarro Work Sells for $40,700 to Deliver a 0.6% Annualized Return

Camille Pissarro, La promenade sur le chemin (1880), sold for $40,700 (GBP30,500), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $5,724, equivalent to an annualized return of 0.6%. It last sold at auction in 1999 for $35,000 at Christie's.

Charcoal on coloured paper, 31.0 x 48.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
