Camille Pissarro Work Sells for $2.49m to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Camille Pissarro, Bords de l’Oise à Pontoise (1872) sold for $2.49m, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 20.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $2.35m, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1975 for $143,600 at Sotheby's.

Oil on canvas, 54.9 x 91.1cm. The work has been traded 14 times in the past.
