A work by an English School artist was the headline sale at Bonhams 'The Dog Sale' on July 23 in Edinburgh.


The star lot was: English School, King Charles Spaniel (Undated), which sold for $13,000, 383% above its $2,687 low estimate.

The outperformer sold for 544% above its low estimate. Frances Mabel Hollams, "Tony" - a black Terrier (1927), sold for $6,061 ($940 low estimate).
