Bonhams will present its annual Surrealist sale at its Paris location on Thursday 26 March 2026. The auction is set to feature Salvador Dalí's significant oil painting, 'Bacchanale,' among other works by key figures of the Surrealist movement.

Painted on canvas, 'Bacchanale' is noted for its scale and historical context, having been originally conceived for the New York Opera House and associated with the Metropolitan Opera and Ballet Russe. The work represents Dalí's engagement with theatrical design within his Surrealist oeuvre.

The sale will also include works by Leonor Fini, Jane Graverol, Valentine Hugo, André Masson, Man Ray, and Francis Picabia, encompassing a range of mediums including works on paper, oil on panel, and oil on cardboard.

The auction will take place at Bonhams' premises at 6 avenue Hoche, Paris, offering a curated selection of fine art from the Surrealist period.
