Berthe Morisot Work Sells for $34,100 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Berthe Morisot, Étude pour 'La jeune fille au repos' (1894) sold for $34,100 (GBP25,400), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 17.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $16,600, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 2013 for $17,500 at Sotheby's.

Charcoal and pencil on paper, 31.3 x 24.1cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
