Bernard Buffet Work Returns to Auction

Bernard Buffet, Autoportrait, is due to be sold at Phillips in London on April 16, 2026 with a $118,900 (GBP90,000) to $158,500 estimate.

It last sold at auction in 2012 for $151,700 at Cornette de Saint-Cyr. The current low estimate is 12% higher than its previous low estimate of $105,600.

Oil on canvas, 99.8 x 81.3cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
