Bernard Boutet de Monvel Work Sells for $98,300 to Deliver a 13% Annualized Return

Bernard Boutet de Monvel, Portrait de comte Pierre de Quinsonas (1914), sold for $98,300 (GBP73,500), more than seven times the low estimate at Phillips in London on March 7.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $72,900, equivalent to an annualized return of 13%. It last sold at auction in 2015 for $25,400 at Artcurial - Briest Poulain F. Tajan.

Oil on canvas, 116.6 x 96.7cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
